Networking Dinner for researchers & company representatives

Innovation Centre Denmark and the Danish Agency for Science and Higher Education are organising a networking dinner in relation to ICT 2018, the European Commission’s event on upcoming Horizon 2020 calls for research and innovation proposals in the field of Information and Communication Technologies, which takes place from 4-6 December 2018 in Vienna.

The aim with the networking dinner is to bring Danish, German, Swiss and Austrian researchers and industry representatives together to network and discuss joint Horizon 2020 proposals. The hope is that participants will make new connections or find new partners for their current or upcoming proposals for Horizon 2020.

The deadline for registration has passed.

Gorm larsen

Professor Peter Gorm Larsen
Director, Head of the DIGIT Centre, Aarhus University

Peter Gorm Larsen is professor at the Department of Engineering at Aarhus University, where he both leads the software engineering research group as well as the Centre for Digitalisation, Big Data, and Data Analytics (DIGIT). After receiving his MSc in EE at the Technical University of Denmark in 1988, he worked in industry before returning to complete an industrial PhD in 1995. In his industry career, as a development engineer and manager, he gave industrial courses all over the world. He returned to academia in 2005. His research is on the tools that help engineers to leverage models in early design stages in particular for the development of CPSs. He is the author of more than 150 papers published in journals, books and conference proceedings, and several books.

Dr. Erich Prem

Director, Eutema

Dr. Erich Prem is chief RTI strategy advisor and CEO, eutema GmbH. Erich is a certified managerial economist and works scientifically in artificial intelligence, research politics, innovation and epistemology. He published more than 80 scientific papers and was a guest researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He holds a Dr. phil. (epistemology) from the University of Vienna, a Dr.tech. and Dipl.Ing. from TU Vienna in Computer Science. He is a lecturer at TU Vienna and at the University of Vienna. Erich holds an MBA in General Management from Donau University. He coordinates the EPIC project for Europe’s ICT RTDI cooperation with Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.

Tim Llewellynn is a global entrepreneur and Artificial Intelligence solutions architect, with a career founded on evolving and break-through data-driven software engineering for technology firms. He is CEO, and Co-founder of NVISO, the world-leading provider of artificial intelligence and machine learning applications that expand our understanding of contextual human emotions and real-time predictive behavior. As an associated part of his role at NVISO, Tim is also Project Coordinator of a world-class R&D initiative for AI on edge devices: Bonseyes AI Marketplace, a EUR 8.5M Horizon 2020 project. Funded by both the EU and Switzerland, with 14 European partners and over 40 researchers, developers and academics focused on deep learning systems development in preparation for the coming AI-as-a-Service economy.
